The Three Key Features of the "8 piece Active Head Construction"

The unique design of XT driver was achieved with the "8 piece Active Head Construction" which combines precision forged titanium composites of different specific gravities and a multi-integrated hybrid structure as well as a new cup-shaped face with varying thickness from neck to toe. The optimal allocation of the titanium composites with different rigidity within each part moves the clubhead as if it were alive. This empowers the XT driver head to maximize the power of the ball flight during impact.

1. Increased Smash Factor = Improved Initial Ball Velocity

At impact, the clubhead moves to hold the ball so that it prevents diffusion of the force vector. The impact power is then efficiently transferred to the ball by the converging of forces toward a single direction. This produces a dramatic increase in smash factor and improves initial ball velocity.

2. Square Impact

The "8 piece Active Head Construction" absorbs the dissipating forces caused by an off-centered hit, and prevents the clubhead's unnecessary movement at impact.
The immediate responsiveness and increased stability of the "Active Head Structure" generate a smooth and accurate shot. The increased stability of the clubhead enables square impact to keep the trajectory straight to the target.

3. Controlled Spin Rate

The increased stability of the clubhead converge the forces into a single direction. The clubhead gives the ball proper impact power toward the target and as a result, prevents unnecessary ball spin.

The Crescent Motif * supports a Perfect Shot

The unique crescent motif provides additional support to the "8 piece Active Head Construction". It increases rigidity at the rear side of the crown and controls the movement of the head by holding impact power. Furthermore the design allows the clubhead to appear visually compact at address and provides the player with the visualization of a perfect shot and the confidence to play it.

Two choices of Tour AD shafts are exclusively developed by Graphite Design Inc. for the XT Drivers.
The 46.5 inch "Tour AD" shaft for XT Driver was designed for the golfers who aim for a smooth swing plain, enabling them to feel the clubhead position throughout the swing.
The extra light weight 47g (R1) "Tour AD" shaft for XT Speed Type Driver was designed to minimize unnecessary shaft movement for golfers with an aggressive swing. These two options allow golfers of both swing types to achieve their maximum distance.
